• Participants of UTV (Utility Terrain Vehicle) Safety learn the legislation, PPE requirements, pre and post trip inspections, and preventative maintenance. Driver strategy, hazards, winching and load securement are also reviewed. Students will perform pre-trip inspections, unloading, practical driving and winching, and load securement.   • This course includes a comprehensive review of workplace hazardous materials classifications, labelling and identification under the 16 part SDS, worker, employer and supplier responsabilities, the Globally Harmonized System (2015) and Canada’s role in it. Download Outline
  • Participants taking the Wilderness Hazards and Safety course will learn basic plant and animal identification. They will review necessary precautions and available control measures. Participants review a “bear aware” component and work through a pre-trip plan. Download Outline
  • Participants who are required to work in the wilderness learn the appropriate legislation, basic plant and animal identification, wilderness precautions, available control measures and pre-trip planning. Participants will develop observation skills and complete exercises designed to keep them safe. Proper use of safety equipment including firearms is learned. Download Outline
  • Worker Fall Protection course includes review of jurisdictionally appropriate legislation, due diligence, dynamics of falls, fall protection and arrest systems, inspection and care of equipment, suspension trauma, ERP, and fitting of harnesses. Each participant will demonstrate their ability to inspect and use safety equipment. There are theoretical and practical elements to demonstrate ability to create a basic fall protection plan and discuss its merits. Download Outline
