Participants of the Snowmobile Safety course review the importance of safety and due diligence. They learn applicable legislation before delving into the practicalities of snowmobiles. Riding skills, strategies and riding hazards are discussed as well as PPE requirements, pre and post trip inspections, preventative maintenance, vehicle limitations, avalanche safety, and load securement. Each participant will complete a pre-trip inspection of their vehicle, perform load securement measures and complete a practical driving component.
Course Requirement: Appropriate footwear, clothing and PPE (helmet, gloves) are required.
